🔗 How to Connect Zoom

  1. 1 Log in to RecordX
Visit recordx.io and sign in to your account.
  2. 2 Go to Integrations
Click the settings icon in the top-right corner and select "Integrations" from the menu.
  3. 3 Connect Zoom
Find the Zoom integration card and click "Connect Zoom". You'll be redirected to Zoom's authorization page.
  4. 4 Authorize RecordX
Review the requested permissions and click "Authorize" to grant RecordX access to your Zoom cloud recordings.
  5. 5 Confirm Connection
You'll be redirected back to RecordX. The Zoom integration card will show "Connected" with your Zoom email address.
✅ You're All Set!
From now on, all your Zoom cloud recordings will be automatically processed by RecordX. You'll receive transcripts and summaries within 5-10 minutes after Zoom finishes processing the recording.

🔐 Permissions Explained

When you connect Zoom, RecordX requests the following permissions:

  • Read meeting information - To identify which meeting the recording belongs to
  • Read cloud recordings - To download your recorded meetings
  • Read user information - To associate recordings with your RecordX account
  • Read participant details - To identify speakers in the transcript
🔒 Your Privacy Matters
RecordX only accesses recordings from meetings you host or co-host. We never access recordings from meetings you attend as a participant. All data is encrypted and processed securely.

âš™ī¸ How It Works

  1. 1 Record Your Zoom Meeting
Start a Zoom meeting (you'll be the host automatically).
  2. 2 Zoom Processes the Recording
After the meeting ends, Zoom takes 5-10 minutes to process and upload the recording to the cloud.
  3. 3 RecordX Downloads Automatically
Once Zoom finishes processing, RecordX receives a notification and automatically downloads the recording.
  4. 4 Transcription & Summarization
RecordX transcribes the audio and generates an AI-powered summary with action items, key points, and decisions.
  5. 5 Access Your Results
Find the transcript and summary in your RecordX dashboard. You can export, share, or email the results.

🔧 Troubleshooting

My recording wasn't processed

Check the following:

  • Cloud recording enabled? - Local recordings are not supported
  • Host or co-host? - RecordX only processes recordings you own
  • Zoom still processing? - Wait 10-15 minutes after the meeting ends
  • Sufficient credits? - Check your balance in the RecordX header
