What it is
AI chat per meeting is a chat panel that sits next to a single meeting. Every question you ask is answered only from that meeting's transcript, speaker labels, and action items. Nothing else in your library enters the context. If the answer is not in the meeting, the model says so instead of guessing.
The point is speed of recall. Meetings run long, minds wander, notes miss things. Instead of scrubbing the audio or reading a full transcript to find one moment, you ask the meeting a plain question and get a plain answer with a citation. Every reply carries timestamps and quoted excerpts so you can jump straight into the source and verify.
It runs on Amazon Bedrock, the same model host RecordX uses for AI summaries and action items. The chat is scoped, grounded, and short-form. It is not a research assistant. It is the fastest way to answer "what exactly did we say about X" in a single conversation.
How it works
- Open a meeting. Any meeting recorded, uploaded, or joined by RecordX. Phone calls too.
- Open the chat panel. It appears next to the transcript, already scoped to this meeting.
- Ask a question. In any language. Free-form prose. No syntax to learn.
- Read the answer. Grounded in the transcript. Excerpts are quoted; timestamps link back into the audio and text.
- Jump back if you want. Click a timestamp to land at that exact moment and verify the source.

Every reply cites timestamps. If the transcript does not contain an answer, the model returns "not covered in this meeting" instead of inventing one. That negative answer is often the useful signal.
Where it lives
Chat per meeting is inside the RecordX app, on every surface. Web on macOS and Windows, mobile on iOS and Android. The chat panel is contextual to whichever meeting you have open. There is no separate app to install, no browser extension to wire up.
If you want to chat programmatically or from another tool such as Claude Desktop or Cursor, use the RecordX
MCP server instead. That surface exposes the same meetings via
search_meetings and fetch_transcript tools, and lets an external MCP client run
questions across your library.
Privacy and retention
Your transcripts stay in your workspace. Chat requests do not train foundation models. Source audio is deleted after processing; transcripts stay in your account for one year and can be deleted at any time. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. See the privacy policy.
Chat context is scoped to the meeting you have open. It does not leak across meetings, across users, or into model training. If you delete the meeting, its chat history goes with it.
Pricing
Chat per meeting is included on the Free tier with a monthly cap on chat interactions. Pro raises the cap. Business removes the cap for the whole team and adds per-seat billing. See the current numbers on the pricing page.

Sign up, record or upload a meeting, open it, and start asking questions. There is nothing to configure. The chat panel is available on the meeting page from the first minute you have a transcript.
FAQ
What does AI chat per meeting run on?
It runs on Amazon Bedrock, RecordX's standard model host. Your transcript is grounded into every reply; the model does not see other meetings in your library.
Does it work in Hebrew?
Yes. You can ask in any language including Hebrew, and answers come back in the language of the question. The underlying transcript language does not have to match your question.
Are my meetings used to train models?
No. Your transcripts stay in your workspace and are not used to train foundation models.
Can I copy answers into other tools?
Yes. Every answer is plain text with citations to timestamps, so you can drop it into Notion, Slack, email, or a CRM without losing the reference back to the source.
Is chat included in the free plan?
Yes. The free tier includes a limited number of chat interactions per month. Paid tiers raise the limit.
Can I ask questions across all my meetings?
Not from this panel. Cross-meeting questions use AI chat over your history, which searches and synthesizes across your whole library.
