Is the Loom integration live?

Direct paste-a-Loom-URL is on the roadmap. Today you can download the Loom video from Loom's own UI and upload the file to RecordX for transcript, summary and action items.

What it does today

The paste-a-Loom-URL flow is on the roadmap. Today the process is: download the Loom video from Loom's UI (or your workspace archive), then drag the MP4 into RecordX - transcript, summary and action items come back the same as a live meeting. RecordX preserves the original Loom URL so people watching can jump to the animated visuals.

Setup today

Create your RecordX account at recordx.io/register.html.
Open the Loom video and click Download (available on Free plans for your own videos, Business for workspace-wide).
Drag the MP4 into the RecordX web-app uploader.
Optionally paste the Loom share URL into the meeting notes so the source stays clickable.
Wait for the transcript (typically under a minute per 10 minutes of video).
Share the RecordX meeting link internally instead of the raw Loom - it's searchable.

Setup (once the direct sync ships)

Paste a Loom share URL into RecordX or send it to your workspace's ingest email address.
RecordX fetches the video from Loom, transcribes, summarises and files it.
Automatic tags per folder / workspace pattern route it into the right RecordX collection.

Permissions and scopes

Today's flow doesn't touch Loom's account at all - you download the file yourself and RecordX only sees what you upload. The planned direct sync will use Loom's OAuth-based API where available; the exact scope set isn't finalised, but will be the minimum needed to fetch videos from workspaces you nominate.

Pricing and limits

RecordX doesn't charge for Loom uploads - they consume your normal monthly transcription minutes. Loom's Free plan caps recordings at 5 minutes / 25 per person; Business plans allow longer videos, better exports and workspace-wide downloads. RecordX per-file upload limits depend on your plan; large workspace archives should be uploaded in batches.

Common gotchas

Loom's Free plan doesn't let you download other people's videos - you'll need Business admin rights or the owner to export.
Music-only intros (no speech) produce empty transcript regions but don't fail the upload.
Loom's built-in AI (Auto-titles, Summary) is separate; RecordX's transcript won't overwrite Loom's own metadata.
Retention: RecordX keeps the transcript per your plan's retention policy; the video file itself is optional.

Alternatives

Zoom / Meet / Teams cloud recordings uploaded to RecordX - same shape as Loom for live meetings.
Loom's own transcript export - fine if you only need the text and don't need Hebrew / multilingual.
