Can I upload 100 files at once today?

Not from the web UI - the upload picker takes one file at a time. A batch back-catalog import is on the roadmap. If you need to move a large archive today, contact support and we will run it as a one-off.

What will bulk upload do?

Drag a folder or multi-select a hundred audio/video files, drop them into the app, and RecordX will queue every file, transcribe them in parallel, and land each one in your library with the same transcript, summary, and action items you get today for a single upload.

Is there a rate limit?

The upload endpoint accepts a generous number of files per hour so that a batch import can move at reasonable speed. Beyond that the system rate-limits per user so nobody can monopolize the queue.

What formats will it accept?

The formats the single-file uploader already accepts: mp3, mp4, m4a, wav, webm, ogg, and other common audio and video containers. Bulk upload will inherit the same list.

Today the web app's upload button takes one file per pick, which is fine for a single recording but slow when a back-catalog of interviews, calls, or podcast episodes has to move through. For a large one-off import, contact support and we can run it manually while the multi-file uploader lands.

What bulk upload will do

Drag a folder in - or multi-select in the file picker. The uploader collects every file and queues each as its own transcription job.
Parallel processing - jobs run concurrently against the transcription pipeline, so a hundred one-hour files finish far faster than a hundred sequential uploads would.
Per-file status - the batch panel shows each file's progress, so you can tell which ones landed, which are transcribing, and which failed and can be retried.
Same output as a single upload - each file lands in your library with a transcript, AI summary, and action items, ready to search and export.
