How Zoom transcription works
The Chrome extension does the capture. RecordX does the rest.
Install the extension
Add the RecordX Chrome extension. Sign in once with your RecordX account.
Start the Zoom call
Open your Zoom meeting in Chrome, or the Zoom web client tab if you have joined a client-launched call. Click record. No participant slot is used, and no one gets a notification about a bot joining.
Get the transcript and summary
When the call ends, RecordX transcribes the audio, generates a summary, and pulls out action items. Everything shows up in your account.

No bot in the meeting

Works with any Zoom plan

Privacy and retention
