RecordX for User Research

Why you need it

Every user interview transcribed, tagged, and searchable. RecordX captures Zoom, Meet, Teams, in-person, and phone research sessions in one library, so themes come out of the tape, not out of memory. Highlight quotes during the readout, ship a real synthesis instead of a moodboard.

What you get

How it fits your workflow

  1. Sign up at recordx.io/register.html, install the Chrome extension for remote interviews, and the mobile app for in-person sessions and phone follow-ups.
  2. Book the interview on your calendar. The extension joins the call, records both sides, and transcribes.
  3. For lab sessions or diary studies, hit record on the phone. For old recordings, upload them from the web app.
  4. Skim the transcript, highlight quotes, and drop the summary into your research repo. Search the whole library for themes when you synthesize.

Example

A design team running discovery for a new billing flow interviewed fourteen customers over two weeks. Half were remote, half in-person. With RecordX every session had a searchable transcript by the time it ended, the synthesis workshop cited actual quotes with timestamps, and the "we heard three themes" readout finally had receipts.
