Is the Outlook Calendar integration live?

Not yet. Google Calendar sync is live; Outlook Calendar is on the roadmap. The plan is Microsoft Graph API with the same shape: watch nominated calendars, auto-join meetings you flag, attach transcripts to events.

Does it need Microsoft 365 or does Outlook.com work?

Both. Microsoft Graph handles personal Outlook.com accounts and Microsoft 365 accounts under the same API surface.

Which scopes will it need?

The plan is Calendars.Read and User.Read - read-only access to events and basic profile. RecordX will not request write scopes and will not read mail.

What about tenant admin approval?

On Microsoft 365 tenants where admin consent is required, an admin approves the app once for the tenant. Individual users then connect without re-approving each scope.

What's the workaround now?

If your Outlook event also lives on a Google Calendar you own (via calendar bridging or manual duplicate invite), RecordX picks it up. Otherwise, use the RecordX Chrome extension to record meetings ad-hoc without a calendar match.

What it does today

Outlook Calendar sync isn't shipped yet. Google Calendar is live and works today - if your Outlook event bridges to a Google Calendar you own, RecordX picks it up. The planned integration uses Microsoft Graph API to watch nominated Outlook calendars, auto-join Zoom / Meet / Teams meetings you flag, and attach transcripts to events in the RecordX web app.

Setup today

Create your RecordX account at recordx.io/register.html.
Install the RecordX Chrome extension.
Record meetings ad-hoc from the extension - no calendar match needed.
Optionally bridge your Outlook Calendar to a Google Calendar (via forwarding rules or paid bridging tools) so the live Google integration matches events.

Setup (once the sync ships)

Open settings in the RecordX web app and click Connect Outlook Calendar.
Sign in with your Microsoft account (personal Outlook.com or Microsoft 365).
Approve the requested Microsoft Graph scopes.
On Microsoft 365 tenants requiring admin consent, an admin approves the app once for the tenant.
Pick the calendars to watch.
Set auto-join rules per calendar.
Record a test event and confirm the transcript is attached in RecordX.

Permissions and scopes

The planned Microsoft Graph scopes are Calendars.Read (list and read events on the calendars you nominate) and User.Read (basic profile). No Mail.*, Contacts.* or Calendars.ReadWrite scopes will be requested. Delegated permissions only - no application permissions or domain-wide access.

Pricing and limits

The Outlook integration will be included with any RecordX plan at no extra cost. Microsoft Graph is free within its per-app throttling limits (typically 10,000 requests per 10 minutes per user for calendar reads). Neither Outlook.com nor Microsoft 365 needs a paid tier for RecordX access - any calendar-enabled account works.

Common gotchas

Microsoft 365 tenants sometimes require admin consent before any user can connect - plan that with IT.
Shared mailboxes have their own Graph endpoints; the initial cut is user calendars only.
Recurring events in Outlook expand differently than Google Calendar - RecordX treats each occurrence separately for matching.
Events without a video-conference URL can't be auto-joined; RecordX won't guess a phone bridge.

Manual capture from the Chrome extension - no calendar match, but transcripts still land in RecordX.
