Yes on dev, and generally available on prod for accounts whitelisted while Google finishes verifying the sensitive Calendar scope. If you request access and don't see the option yet, /google/config returns 503 GOOGLE_NOT_CONFIGURED - contact support and we'll walk you through the manual attach flow.

Do you auto-join every meeting?

Only ones you flag. You choose the auto-join rule per calendar (all meetings, only external, only tagged, or none) and can pause it anytime.

Which scopes does RecordX request?

calendar.events.readonly to see events (title, time, video URL, attendees) and calendar.readonly to enumerate your calendars for the picker. Both are Google's sensitive scopes; RecordX doesn't write events back.

Does it work with multiple calendars?

Yes. Every calendar you tick in the connect flow is watched. Personal / work separation stays yours - RecordX only sees calendars you nominate.

How does it know which video link to join?

RecordX picks the first Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams link in the event location or description. If there's no video link, the event is skipped.

What about Outlook Calendar?

Outlook Calendar is on the roadmap - see the Outlook integration page. In the meantime, if the Outlook event also appears on your Google Calendar (via forwarding or bridging), RecordX still picks it up.

What it does today

RecordX reads the calendars you nominate, matches each event to a recording (by time and video URL) and attaches the transcript to that event so anyone opening it later finds the summary and action items in context. Optionally, RecordX auto-joins scheduled meetings on Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams so nothing gets missed. The integration is live on dev and generally available on prod for accounts whitelisted while Google finishes verifying the sensitive Calendar scope.

Setup

Create your RecordX account at recordx.io/register.html.
Install the RecordX Chrome extension (Android app optional for mobile capture).
Open RecordX and click Connect Google Calendar in settings.
Sign in with the Google account whose calendars you want to watch.
Approve the calendar.readonly and calendar.events.readonly scopes.
Tick the calendars to watch (personal, work, project).
Pick an auto-join rule per calendar: All, External only, Tagged only, None.
Run a test meeting and confirm the transcript appears on the event.

Permissions and scopes

RecordX uses two of Google's sensitive Calendar scopes: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly to list the calendars you can pick, and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events.readonly to read event fields. RecordX does not request scopes to create or edit events, to read Gmail, or to read Contacts. You can revoke access at any time from your Google account permissions page.

Pricing and limits

The Calendar integration is included with any RecordX plan at no extra cost. Google Calendar API is free within Google's per-user quotas (roughly 1,000,000 queries per day at the app level; typical accounts use a few hundred). Because RecordX only polls what you've nominated, the footprint is small even on busy calendars.

Common gotchas

If the event has no video-conference URL, auto-join can't fire - RecordX won't guess a phone bridge.
Time-zone edits after the event is created can shift the matching window; the event will still show up in RecordX search.
Recurring meetings share a series id in Google - each instance is treated as its own event for transcript matching.
Calendar delegation (someone else's calendar shared with you) works as long as they've granted "see all event details".
If /google/config returns 503 GOOGLE_NOT_CONFIGURED on prod, your account is not yet whitelisted for the sensitive scope - contact support.

Alternatives

Zoom's own cloud recording + upload to RecordX (skip the calendar match).
Manual per-meeting attach - useful for one-off recordings.
