Is the Dialpad integration live in RecordX today?

No. Dialpad sync is on the roadmap. Today RecordX and Dialpad live in separate worlds - you can download a Dialpad recording and upload it to RecordX manually, but nothing automatic runs between them yet.

When will Dialpad sync ship?

No committed date. Email support@recordx.io and we'll notify you when the integration goes live.

Does RecordX replace Dialpad Ai?

No. Dialpad Ai is built into every Dialpad plan and produces transcripts + summaries inside Dialpad. RecordX pays off when your calls span Dialpad plus other surfaces (Zoom, Meet, Teams, on-device phone) and you want one library across all of them, with summaries in the same shape everywhere.

Will the integration cover historic Dialpad recordings or only new ones?

The plan is to support both. On connect, RecordX would pull recent calls up to a configurable window; from then on, new calls sync as they land in Dialpad. Exact backfill depth will be settled before launch.

Can I use RecordX's own phone number instead of waiting on Dialpad sync?

Yes. Provision a RecordX number from the mobile app - inbound and outbound calls on that number are recorded and transcribed natively, no Dialpad needed. See the telephony carriers page for details.

How it works

Dialpad sync is planned - not live today. RecordX has its own phone-number layer (see telephony carriers) and does not currently connect to Dialpad. When live, RecordX will pull Dialpad call recordings and transcripts and land summaries alongside your Zoom, Meet, and Teams recordings, in the same library and CRM workflow.

Meanwhile, either download a Dialpad recording and upload it to RecordX, or provision a RecordX phone number and take calls on it - recording, transcript, summary, and action items run natively.

Planned scope

Pull Dialpad call recordings + transcripts into the unified RecordX library, so every meeting and call - Dialpad, Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, and RecordX phone - carries a summary and action items in the same shape. The plan is one-way import from Dialpad into RecordX at launch; write-back to Dialpad is scoped separately.

Planned OAuth / API

Dialpad exposes a REST API with per-user OAuth. Planned scopes at launch: calls.read and users.read at minimum, so RecordX can list a user's calls and resolve who was on each leg. Nothing is granted today because no Dialpad app is installed on the RecordX side.

Pricing and limits (planned)

Dialpad sync will be a RecordX Business-tier feature at launch.
Dialpad's own API rate limits apply per tenant - the integration will batch to stay under them.
Recording minutes pulled from Dialpad will count against the RecordX monthly balance, same as any other captured call.

Dialpad Ai is built into every Dialpad plan and produces transcripts and summaries inside Dialpad. If your entire call surface is Dialpad, Dialpad Ai on its own is probably enough.
RecordX pays off when your team splits time across Dialpad, Zoom, Meet, Teams, and on-device phone, and you want one searchable library plus one CRM workflow rather than one per tool.
Recording consent laws still apply to Dialpad calls the same as anywhere else - check the jurisdiction of both parties before relying on the recording.

Alternatives while waiting

RecordX's built-in phone (telephony carriers) is live today - provision a number in the mobile app and every inbound and outbound call gets a recording, transcript, summary, and action items with no Dialpad in the middle. That's the shortest path if you want RecordX-native recording now without waiting on the Dialpad sync.
