Is the Outlook Mail integration live in RecordX today?

Not yet. Outlook Mail is on the roadmap. Today, RecordX can read your Microsoft 365 calendar (Calendars.Read, read-only) for auto-join, but it doesn't touch your mailbox. Copy-paste the summary from the RecordX web app into a new Outlook message until the integration ships.

Will RecordX read my Outlook inbox?

No. The planned scope is create follow-up drafts only. RecordX has no reason to read your existing mail and doesn't plan to. The Mail.ReadWrite scope is the smallest Microsoft Graph scope that lets an app create draft messages - it does not mean RecordX will index your inbox.

Will it auto-send my follow-ups?

No, drafts by default. When Outlook Mail ships, RecordX will create a draft in your Outlook Drafts folder that you review and send. Auto-send is an opt-in setting that would extend the OAuth grant to include Mail.Send - off by default.

Will my Microsoft 365 admin need to approve RecordX?

Depends on your tenant. Many Microsoft 365 tenants require admin consent for third-party apps that request Mail scopes. If your tenant has that policy, an admin will need to approve RecordX once, then individual users can connect from Settings. Tenants without the policy let users self-consent.

Can I wire this up with Power Automate in the meantime?

Once RecordX exposes an outbound webhook or Power Automate connector, yes - a flow that takes the RecordX summary payload and creates an Outlook draft is a few Power Automate steps. Until then, the reliable path is to copy from the RecordX summary screen into a new Outlook message. See the separate /integrations/outlook.html for Outlook Calendar.

Connect Microsoft 365 Calendar today under Settings - Calendars (that's live). Auto-join covers Teams meetings using the calendar as the schedule.
When Outlook Mail ships, connect it from the same Settings screen - the OAuth grant will extend to Mail.ReadWrite (and optionally Mail.Send if you opt in to auto-send).
Meanwhile, copy the summary from the RecordX web app into a new Outlook message. Or wire a Power Automate flow once RecordX exposes an outbound webhook.

Planned scope

One-click auto-draft: RecordX creates a Draft in your Outlook mailbox with the meeting summary and action items pre-filled, addressed to the meeting attendees pulled from the calendar event. The draft links back to the full transcript in RecordX. Drafts only by default - nothing sends until you click send, unless you opt in to auto-send.

Planned Microsoft Graph scopes

Mail.ReadWrite - required to create a draft in the user's Drafts folder. Read/write on the user's own mailbox only, not the whole tenant.
Mail.Send - optional, only requested if the user opts in to auto-send. Off by default.
Existing Calendars.Read (already live for auto-join) stays as is - Outlook Mail extends the OAuth grant rather than replacing it.
Nothing is granted today - no OAuth app for Mail exists yet on the RecordX side.

Pricing and limits (planned)

Included from the free tier at launch. Microsoft Graph is free within Microsoft's own quotas.
Microsoft Graph throttling limits are 10,000 requests per 10 minutes per app per user - many orders of magnitude above what draft creation consumes.
RecordX will send at most one draft per meeting summary. Users choose which meetings get a draft; it's not an every-meeting default.

Common concerns

Tenant-admin consent: many Microsoft 365 tenants require admin approval before a third-party app can request Mail scopes. If your tenant has that policy, an admin has to approve RecordX once. Tenants without the policy let users self-consent from the Settings screen.
Drafts, not sends. Default behaviour is: RecordX creates the draft, you review, you click send. Auto-send is opt-in and adds the Mail.Send scope to the OAuth grant.
Recipient list comes from the calendar event attendees, not from any inbox lookup. RecordX has no reason to read existing mail and doesn't plan to.
Shared mailboxes and delegated access are out of scope at launch - the draft lands in the mailbox of the connected user only.

Alternatives while waiting

Power Automate can wire RecordX summaries into Outlook drafts today, once RecordX exposes an outbound webhook or a Power Automate connector - a flow of a few steps takes a summary payload and creates the Outlook draft on your behalf. Until that ships, copy-paste from the RecordX summary screen is the reliable path. Note there is a separate Outlook Calendar integration page - Outlook Mail (email) and Outlook Calendar (schedule) are different Microsoft Graph surfaces.
